WATCH: Grupo Frontera’s Mystery Album Song Is a Collaboration With Manuel Turizo

After dominating multiple genres, Manuel Turizo is now embracing regional Mexican music. The rising Colombian star teamed up with Grupo Frontera for their new music video, “De Lunes A Lunes,” released today (Aug. 24). This collaboration is the mystery song on Grupo Frontera’s El Comienzo album.

Turizo has proven himself a versatile Latine pop star with hits like “La Bachata” and “El Merengue” with Marshmello. He is adding norteño to the list of genres he’s dabbling in. He joined forces with the top-selling Tejano band for their collaboration “De Lunes A Lunes.” The mystery song was previously marked with question marks on the group’s album. Today, the song’s finally unveiled.

“This song speaks to the universal experience of heartbreak and the lengths we go to numb the pain,” Turizo said in a statement. “Collaborating with Grupo Frontera has allowed us to channel these emotions into a powerful and relatable track.”

Turizo co-wrote “De Lunes A Lunes” with Maikel Rafael Rico Torres, Mario Alberto Daza Altamar, and hit-making producer Edgar Barrera. Grupo Frontera brings the colorful norteño song to life. Turizo and the band’s lead singer Adelaido “Payo” Solís III trade verses about a lingering heartbreak that lasts the whole week. Turizo’s deep, sultry voice sounds at home in the emotional song as he commiserates with Grupo Frontera.

The music video for “De Lunes A Lunes” was directed by Simón Brand, Jerome Lehoucq, and Sergio De Ávila. Turizo and the members of Grupo Frontera kick back a few alcoholic beverages to numb the heartache. Before the hangover sets in, we see Turizo having fun while performing with the band.

On Oct. 6, Turizo will kick off the U.S. leg of his 2000 Tour in Miami, FL. Throughout that month and early November, he will perform in major cities like Atlanta, New York City, Houston, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
