Brazilian Death Metal Band Crypta Announces U.S. Tour

Crypta is bringing their Brazilian death metal to the States this month. The band’s highly-anticipated Shades of Sorrow Over North America Tour will embark in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Jan. 27 and wrap up in Seattle, WA, on Mar. 2.

The popular all-girl death metal band – formed by Fernanda Lira, Jéssica di Falchi, Tainá Bergamaschi, and Luana Dametto – will be performing in venues across the U.S. this year. After starting their journey in Puerto Rico, the band will continue to Miami, FL (Jan. 29 to Feb. 2), Orlando, FL (Feb. 3), Tampa, FL (Feb. 4), Jacksonville, NC (Feb. 6), and Greensboro, NC (Feb. 7). Crypta will then perform venues at Louisville, KY (Feb. 8), Covington, KY (Feb. 9), Spartanburg, SC (Feb. 10), Atlanta, GA (Feb. 11), and Nashville, TN (Feb. 12).

The latter half of the tour continues in Fayetteville, AR (Feb. 14), Houston, TX (Feb. 15), Dallas, TX (Feb. 16), Austin, TX (Feb. 17), El Paso, TX (Feb. 19), and Albuquerque, NM (Feb. 20). Other dates include Phoenix/Mesa, AZ (Feb. 21), San Diego, CA (Feb. 23), Los Angeles, CA (Feb. 24), Las Vegas, NV (Feb. 25), and Sacramento, CA (Feb. 27). The last string of shows are in Portland, OR (March 1), and Seattle, WA (March 2). The band will then head to Europe to continue their tour.

The new tour dates come in time to promote the São Paulo-originated band’s latest album Shades of Sorrow, which gave the band its first-ever Billboard chart appearance as No. 71 on the Top Current Album Sales chart back on Aug. 19. The album’s latest single is called “Stronghold.”
