Bad Bunny’s Latest Sneaker Inspired by This Famous Green Landmark in Boston

Bad Bunny must have one massive shoe rack in his closet. The superstar celebrity has added another pair of sneakers to his growing line of adidas footwear.

This time, he mixed sports aesthetics and urban fashion to create the adidas Response CL “Boston Day,” which can be purchased this Friday (August 18) – exclusively in Boston. Last year, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu invited Benito to Fenway Park and declared August 18 as “Bad Bunny Day” in Boston. It was the same day he was in town to perform.

Now, Bad Bunny is returning the favor and declaring it “Boston Day” for the release of his new running shoe that is designed in different hues of green, a color that is part of Boston’s identity. Think shamrocks and Celtics and the city’s Irish heritage. Fenway Park is even home to the Green Monster, a 37-foot left field wall, which is the main inspiration for Benito’s kicks.

The shoe features “melted” leather in different shades of green. The shoe comes with a rubber sole, the iconic three-stripes adidas logo, and Bad Bunny’s recognizable eye symbol.

On social media, countless Benito fans were excited about the green shoes, although the sneakers will only be available for purchase at Concepts Boston. One fan demanded a “global release” of the shoes. Another wished he lived in Beantown.

At least one Benito fan wasn’t very interested in the sneakers, but only because he’s a New York Yankees fan.

Bad Bunny’s last collaboration with adidas happened less than three weeks ago with the release of the “Chalky Brown.” We’ll see if the athletic apparel and footwear brand can officially make this a monthly thing. The adidas Response CL “Boston Day” retails for $160. We’re sure Big Papi will be first in line to grab a pair.
