Melbourne Trio Glass Beams Share Long-Awaited EP ‘Mahal’

Melbourne-based trio Glass Beams have been on an absolute tear. They had garnered so much fanfare off of just one EP, and that popularity exploded on the heels of the announcement of their second EP Mahal. That EP is now out and it is worth the hype.

Mahal is a perfect blend of electronic and Indian cultural sounds, and the group’s aura is unmatched. The EP’s title track is a gorgeous array that calls back to founder Rajan Silva’s family roots after his father emigrated to Melbourne from India. Top to bottom this 5-track project is an instrumental masterclass.
