WATCH: Myke Towers Proves Summer Isn’t Over Just Yet With “Bajo El Sol”

Myke Towers is cranking up the heat one more time before summer officially ends with his new single “Bajo El Sol” (Aug. 25)

Towers has been teasing “Bajo El Sol,” produced by Chris Jedi and Gaby Music, on his official social media accounts as early as Thursday (Aug. 24). The track brings the Puerto Rican rapper back to his trap roots as he sings about wanting to get wet and wild under the sun with his lover. With champagne, high fashion, and loads of cash while cooling off at the rooftop pool overlooking the coast of Benidorm, Spain, the single’s sun-soaked music video sets the tone of opulence and endless summer.

“Bajo El Sol” follows Towers’ recent success with his viral hit “LALA” from his genre-bending fourth studio album LA VIDA ES UNA. “Everyone knows me because I’m a rapper, so I wanted to project another type of music so they can listen to me in different ways,” Tower said in a conversation with Remezcla last month. “I want people to follow their dreams like there is no tomorrow. La vida es una, so do whatever you want to do, take risks, and don’t think too much about it.”

Towers also revealed that a new album is on the way before sharing plans for another collaboration with Jamaican dance hall artist Shenseea, whom he worked with on the deluxe edition of the “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” soundtrack.

Myke Towers is currently gearing up for his La Vida Es Una Tour, with the stateside leg of the trek kicking off in Chicago, IL, on Oct. 8. With his star power continuing to rise, Towers will play upgraded venues in 21 cities across the U.S. including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and Atlanta before wrapping things up in Miami on Nov. 26.
