WATCH: Madonna Brings Out Wendy Guevara During Mexico City Concert

All the eyes of Madonna’s Mexican fans continue to be on the special guests of her Celebration Tour. Last night (April 23), the queen of pop brought out a Mexican LGBTQ+ icon.

As part of her Celebration Tour, Madonna is putting on five concerts in Mexico City. When she performs “Vogue,” she usually invites a special guest to join her onstage. The first two guests in Mexico were a bit baffling for Mexican fans. On night one, she brought out Mexican comedian Guillermo Rodriguez, who appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live! While Rodriguez was born in Mexico, one person wrote online that he’s not well known in their country because Jimmy Kimmel’s show isn’t aired there. For the second night, she brought out Cuban actor Alberto Guerra, who has appeared on Narcos: Mexico and Griselda.

For night three of the Celebration Tour in Mexico, Madonna brought out a guest who is beloved by the public, especially the LGBTQ+ community. Reality TV star and social media influencer Wendy Guevara joined Madonna on the catwalk during her performance of “Vogue.” Guevara became a national sensation in Mexico last year after winning La Casa de Los Famosos. As a trans woman, her victory on the TV show was seen as a big moment for LGBTQ+ people and trans visibility in Mexico.

Many of Madonna’s Mexican fans online praised her for bringing out the member of Las Perdidas as a special guest. One person wrote on X, “Madonna bringing Wendy on stage is one of the most iconic things I’ve ever seen.” Another person added, “Wendy Guevara holding the Mexican LGBT+ community up high at Madonna’s concert.”

Madonna will continue her five-night stand in Mexico City tonight. Her final show in the country will take place on Friday, April 26.
