WATCH: Cypress Hill Releases New Live Performance Videos for Classic Hits

Cypress Hill’s music transcends generations. On July 19, the iconic Latino hip-hop group released live performances of two of their classic tunes, “Insane In The Brain” and “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That,” ahead of Black Sunday’s 30th anniversary tomorrow.

“IN HONOR OF THE #BLACKSUNDAY30TH, WE DID A FEW JOINTS WITH @VEVO ?‼️” the group announced online.

Partnered with Vevo, the new live performances of “Insane In The Brain” and “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That” feature the members–B-Real, Sen Dogg, Eric Bobo, and DJ Lord in a minimalist dimly-lit studio. “Insane In The Brain” captures B-Real’s unmatched high-pitched rap verses and Sen Dogg’s signature rhymes as they rap back and forth. The live performance of “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That” starts with B-Real shouting out their 31 years of hip-hop celebration. Throughout the video, we see the two frontmen charismatically laying down their verses as they deliver an overall exciting performance of the 1993 classic.

Fans are thrilled about the new live performances of the now 30-year-old jams. A YouTube user, Hendraone07-zt4oe, wrote, “Still got old tape cassete of black sunday album , still kickin’ ass after 30 years. Respect,” about “Insane In The Brain.” Another YouTube user, @csrohena, wrote, “Sounds like the first day that came out?,” under the video for “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That.”

Throughout their musical trajectory, Cypress Hill cemented themselves as one of the most popular rap groups since the 1990s and a staple in the Latine community. A reason for their success is their sophomore album which features the aforementioned singles. Black Sunday’s accolades include earning the group’s first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart and Grammy nominations for their tracks “Insane in the Brain” and “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That.” Later, the emblematic outfit received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
