Miss El Salvador Shocks Crowd at Miss Universe 2023 National Costume Show

The Miss Universe preliminaries are underway in El Salvador, with the winner being crowned in a live ceremony that will take place on Saturday, November 18th. And one of the most anticipated parts of the preliminary competitions is always the National Costume Show where contestants showcase their country’s traditions and designers in the best, and sometimes most outlandish ways.

On Thursday, November 16th, Miss El Salvador, Isabella García-Manzo wowed her home crowd with a “volcanic empowerment costume,” that honored the transformative power of nature. The fact that it lit up in various ways and had a reveal made the crowd lose it.

The dress, which was designed by Marina Toybina, “symbolizes the rebirth of El Salvador. Its brilliance reflects Salvadoran optimism, illuminating the path to a promising future.”

The crowd and social media were absolutely in love with García-Manzo’s outfit right away, with loud cheers being heard as she walked out and comments on X, formerly known as Twitter, ranging from how great it was.

To how little competition she actually had, all things considered.

With some just straight-up shook.

And some just living for The Hunger Games vibes she was giving.

The next Miss Universe will be crowned on Saturday, November 18th in El Salvador. And after this look, García-Manzo is one of the big favorites to possibly walk away with the crown. It’s undeniable that she has already won people’s hearts.
