Maluma Celebrates Colombia’s Resilient Women in “La Reina” Music Video – Watch Now

Colombian superstar Maluma has released a new music video that pays tribute to the strength and resilience of women in his home country. Titled “La Reina,” the video showcases women from all walks of life, including survivors of difficult circumstances, as the embodiment of beauty, grace, and power.

The song, which is the second single from Maluma’s upcoming album, Don Juan, is a heartfelt tribute to the women in his life, encouraging them to see themselves as queens. The artist revealed a trailer for the music video on International Women’s Day, in which he spoke about one of the 17 women featured in the video, Silvia Julio. Maluma wrote the song during a music camp, describing it as a gift from above. “For me, the most important thing about this song is that the main characters are all these spectacular women and all the women around the world who are going to identify with it,” he said in a statement.

The music video for “La Reina” features powerful imagery of women in various roles, from mothers and daughters to artists and athletes. One of the women featured in the video is a survivor of an acid attack, a traumatic experience that left her disfigured. Maluma’s inclusion of these strong women highlights the beauty in resilience and the strength of those who overcome adversity.

Maluma’s latest release follows his collaboration with Marc Anthony on the single “La Fórmula” and his recent win at Premio Lo Nuestro, where he received two awards for his collaboration with Grupo Firme on “Cada Quien.” With his latest music video, Maluma showcases his commitment to uplifting women and celebrating their strength and beauty, while continuing to cement his status as one of Latin music’s biggest stars.
