Karol G’s New Hair Makes Stage Debut at Eladio Carrión’s Sold-Out Concert

Karol G hit the stage for the first time with her new red hair on Saturday night (Aug. 20). The Colombian superstar was a surprise guest at Eladio Carrión’s sold-out concert in Puerto Rico.

Earlier this month, Karol G revealed that she decided to move on from her iconic blue hair color. In an Instagram post, she bid adieu to the blue and introduced her new red hair color. Karol G likened her new color to Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid movie.

“I want to thank everyone who loved this era,” she wrote. “I’m definitely ready for everything that’s happening next. Next level unlocked. And no, I don’t have blue hair anymore, but I know that we’re all going to love what’s coming next. Los amo puessssssss.”

Karol G actually made her first public appearance with her red hair on Aug. 11 when she supported Bad Bunny at the opening of his restaurant in Miami. The two artists were photographed together at his new eatery Gekkō.

On Saturday night, Carrión brought Karol G as a special guest during his sold-out concert at El Choli. This was her first time performing onstage with her new look. Carrión and Karol G performed their collaboration “No Te Deseo Mal” from his 2021 album Sauce Boyz 2. The two artists looked cozy onstage together as they sang the trap love song.

Carrión also gave Karol G a moment to perform her hit “Provenza” during the concert. She laughed a few times as Carrión playfully bopped to the song alongside her.

After the concert, Karol G reflected on the moment in an Instagram story post. In a picture of her hugging Carrión, she wrote, “I love you Elaaa. Congratulations on your sold-out shows. ¡Que chimba de Noche!!!”

It should be exciting to see the new era that Karol G has in store with her new red hair. Last week, she received a whopping 15 nominations for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards.
