Eslabon Armado & Gabito Ballesteros to Perform at ‘The Tonight Show’
Eslabon Armado is gracing The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’s stage this week. On Oct. 23, it was announced that the música mexicana group will perform their latest track, “La Fresa,” alongside Gabito Ballesteros on Oct. 25. This will mark the song’s live television debut.
Eslabon Armado has been having a massive 2023. Recently, they performed their hit track “Ella Baila Sola” in Good Morning America, making history as the first regional Mexican music group to perform on the show. The performance commemorated the band’s year-long accolades, including being the first música mexicana group to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart.
Now, the hitmakers are set to share their next national television stage and will be having their collaborator, Ballesteros, as their special guest. Back in April, Peso Pluma performed “Ella Baila Sola” solo on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After the performance, Peso’s decision to sing without Eslabon Armado didn’t sit well with some fans who noticed the songwriter’s absence.
When the Mexican-American group was later asked what they thought about not being invited, they said they were “agüitados” at first, but not mad at the situation. Eslabon’s Brian Tovar said: “When it’s something like Jimmy Fallon or things like that, well, it seems to me that you have to have some respect where you have to invite both groups, but I don’t know what happened.”
It appears they’re sticking to their word and sharing this moment with Ballesteros, one of the genre’s most promising acts. Besides this collaboration, the Mexican singer also recently released a new song with Natanael Cano, “LOU LOU.”
The acts will perform “La Fresa” this Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. ET via NBC. The episode will also be aired the next day through the Peacock app.
