Bella Hadid Brings a Vintage Gem to Paris
What does a model wear “off-duty” in Paris, you ask? If you’re Bella Hadid, you pile on designer labels. Today, the model was spotted in the City of Light mixing-and-matching new and vintage luxury brands. Her top, in particular, is a real vintage gem.
Opting for a statement top, Hadid wore a vintage, butterfly-print Jean Paul Gaultier style, which is similar to this lace-up top from the 2000s. (Hadid is a big fan of archival JPG.) She paired the throwback piece with a sleek leather trench, baggy blue jeans, chunky boots, and tons of rings and necklaces. She finished off the look with red Chanel sunglasses and a new brown leather Fendi bag.
The whole fit is fresh, but that top goes to show that the 2000s are really back—and, in fact, can look very current. She also gets bonus points for not wearing the expected Breton stripes and beret in Paris: (ahem, Emily in Paris). It’s much cooler to wear an unexpected, archival French piece instead—provided you can score one.
