Becky G x Gonza Swimwear Drop Colorful New Collection — & It’s Giving ‘Barbie’

It seems like Becky G’s time at GONZA is proving fruitful as its second collection, aptly titled La Muñeca, has just been released on August 16.

The collection features an array of bright neon-colored swimsuits with an assortment of matching cover-ups ranging from miniskirts, crop tops, palazzo pants, and mini and maxi-length dresses. The material is made from the brand’s signature double-layer mesh fabric.

Within the La Muñeca collection is a series of hot pink bathing suit ensembles, dubbed the Melina, that seems like the perfect fit for the month since we’re still in Barbie mania. These neon pink articles can be individually purchased to create, for example, a fully monochromatic look with the Melina Bandeu top ($90), the Melina Ruched bottom ($80), and the Melina Palazzo pant ($150).

The Panama style comes features the signature mesh of colors and Joaquina is a variant of it. Both are similar to the styles in the first collection. In addition, you can also purchase solid color variations of the Melina in yellow (Luz) and green (Margarita).

On July 1st, Becky G announced her role as the creative director of the Latina-Black-owned swimwear brand, GONZA and said, “As a proud Latina, I’m joining GONZA to break boundaries, empower women, and redefine fashion.”

This initial announcement didn’t come without conflict though, which is important to note. However, it seems that the brand is continuing with its partnership and bringing out the visions of Becky G.

GONZA’s latest drop is now available to purchase on shopgonza.com.
