Anuel AA Becomes Official Sponsor of Puerto Rico’s Women’s National Basketball League

Fans will see a new design element on the uniforms of the Women’s National Superior Basketball League games in Puerto Rico when tuning into their upcoming games. Anuel AA announced that he is officially becoming the main sponsor for the women’s league, in which the players’ uniforms will now feature his widely-known phrase and the title of his debut album “Real Hasta La Muerte.”

“I am very happy to be able to help the development of women’s basketball in Puerto Rico,” said Anuel in a press statement. “We have a lot of talent in the country that needs support, and I am more than proud to be part of this and continue with the legacy of this league that even went to the Olympics this year. We are very proud of them and of the many wins that are to come.”

Earlier this summer, it was announced that Anuel became an investor in local basketball by becoming the owner of the Capitanes de Arecibo of the National Superior Basketball League (BSN) of Puerto Rico. “We will do everything we have in our power and strength to take this team further, to other levels, and that the BSN continues to grow,” Anuel said in a previous statement. He reportedly became the second Puerto Rican music figure to buy a BSN team. Bad Bunny acquired the Santurce Cangrejeros this past May.

It won’t be long until fans of the league see the new additions to their uniform designs and finally enjoy the games. After a hiatus of over one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the basketball league games will begin on Saturday, September 4.
