Edgar Barrera Leads 2026 Latin Grammy Nominations: Full List

The 2026 Latin Grammy Awards nominations have been officially announced, with acclaimed Mexican songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera leading the pack. Barrera secured an impressive 10 nominations, including key nods in the general categories of record of the year, album of the year, and song of the year, largely driven by his collaborative work with Karol G and Carín León.

This year’s list highlights a remarkable breadth of talent across the Latin music landscape. Following Barrera, artists including CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Jorge Drexler, Karol G, and Rosalía each earned seven nominations. The competition for album of the year is particularly fierce, featuring a diverse group of contenders such as Anitta, Milo J, and Rawayana.

A Celebration of Musical Diversity

Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, praised the flexibility and mobility of today’s artists. “I love seeing this flexibility and incredible mobility of our artists,” Abud noted, highlighting the cross-genre success of stars like Karol G and Nathy Peluso. The nominations reflect a truly international reach, with representation from Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay.

The 27th annual Latin Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place live from Las Vegas on Thursday, Nov. 12. The ceremony will be broadcast via TelevisaUnivision platforms, preceded by the non-televised Latin Grammy Premiere, where the majority of the winners will be announced.

Notable Milestones

The 2026 nominations also celebrate both youth and legacy. Argentine rapper Milo J, at just 19 years old, secured five nominations, while the legendary Cuban singer Omara Portuondo continues her storied career with a nomination for best traditional tropical album at 95 years old. The eligibility window for this year’s awards covered recordings released between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026.
