Manila Killa Releases First Track Of 2024 With “Slow Down”

Chris Gavino started making music as Manila Killa over a decade ago and has since garnered major festival billings, tens of millions of streams, and has become one of the most consistent and exciting names in dance music. This last year saw Gavino launch his side project CHROMEBODIES with Hotel Garuda, a moniker which he was formerly a part of before breaking off to focus on his solo work.

Since then his debut album 1993 received praise from Billboard and has released official remixes for Lastlings, Big Wild, San Holo and more. Now, Gavino is ready to continue his run as he releases his new single “Slow Down” with vocalist Luxtides.

“Slow Down” is a melodic house number that is catchy lyrically and rhythmically. Luxtides’ soft vocals perfectly counteract the track’s daunting melody that makes for a beautiful combination. On Instagram Manila Killa said “Slow Down” was his “first original track of the year, and definitely not the last.” So it’s safe to say we will be getting more music from Manila Killa this year and if it sounds anything like “Slow Down,” we’re in for a treat.
