Eden Muñoz Announces “Consejos Gratis” U.S. Tour
The man behind many of today’s regional Mexican music hits will be hitting the road this fall. Today (Feb. 27), Mexican singer-songwriter Eden Muñoz announced his U.S. tour Consejos Gratis.
Muñoz has enjoyed a successful career as both a songwriter and an artist. He has co-written recent hits like “Qué Agonía” by Yuridia and Ángela Aguilar, Banda MS’ “Cerrando Ciclos,” and “Mi Mujer Perfecta” by Alex Fernández. Muñoz also wrote many of Calibre 50’s hits while he was in the band. After parting with Calibre 50 last year, Muñoz has made a name for himself as an artist. He has scored multiple hits in the banda and norteño genres with songs like “Ya Me Está Yendo Bien” and “Chale.”
Last year, Muñoz released his debut album Consejos Gratis. His first solo tour of the U.S. is named after the LP. The tour begins on Aug. 25 at Kings Theater in Brooklyn, NY. The 14-date tour will wrap in Irving, Texas on Nov. 11. Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 3. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets on Tuesday, Feb. 28. VIP packages will also be released where fans can have an opportunity to meet Muñoz and take a picture with him.
Muñoz is a part of the Lizos Music record label. His labelmates include Banda MS. At last week’s Premio Lo Nuestro, Muñoz won Norteño Song of the Year – Regional Mexican for “Chale.” Moreover, Mexican pop star Carlos Rivera enlisted Muñoz to feature on the song “Alguien Me Espera En Madrid” alongside Carin León. The duet was included on Rivera’s Sincerándome album, released earlier this month. Mexican-American trio Yahritza y Su Esencia recently teased that they’re recording a cover of “Qué Agonía,” which is coming soon.
