Becky G Sings “MAMIII” Mariachi Version & Santa Fe Klan Serenades Paquita La Del Barrio at Premios De La Radio 2022

Premios De La Radio touched down in Mexico City last night (Nov. 3). Among the show’s memorable moments, Becky G performed a mariachi version of “MAMIII,” and Santa Fe Klan serenaded Paquita La Del Barrio.

Premios De La Radio is the biggest música mexicana award show of the year. This year, Becky G was a surprise guest. For the first time, she performed her global hit “MAMIII” in mariachi style. Becky G belted her heart out in a black gown adorned with a bejeweled heart. During the performance, she walked to the audience and danced with Paquita La Del Barrio. Becky G sang Karol G’s “Ratas De Dos Patas” line from the song alongside Paquita. She also performed “Ya Acabó” with Marca MP.

Later in the night, Premios De La Radio honored Paquita La Del Barrio and Los Ángeles Azules with a “Tributo a los Grandes de México.” Paquita sang her hits with Ezequiel Peña, Gerardo Ortiz, Luis Alfonso Partida “El Yaki,” and Alfredo Olivas. The standout moment was when Mexican rapper Santa Fe Klan shared the stage with Paquita. He held her hand as he sang his heartbreaking ballad “Se Acabó.” Paquita then playfully sang “Ratas De Dos Patas” to Santa Fe Klan. He smiled while watching her perform and gave her a hug. Becky G was tearful when she presented Paquita with her honorary award.

Other highlights from the night included Chiquis honoring her mother, the late Jenni Rivera, with a special performance. She became emotional as she sang Rivera’s classic “No Llega El Olvido” with Mexican singer Espinoza Paz. Chalino Sánchez also received a tribute at Premios De La Radio.

Among the night’s winners, Mexican singer Carin León was the most-awarded artist with three wins. He took home Male Artist of the Year, Group or Solo Sierreña Act of the Year, and Sierreña Song of the Year for “Como Lo Hice Yo” with Matisse. Grupo Firme tied León with three wins as well. The Mexican banda group took home Artist of the Year and Group of the Year.
