Rauw Alejandro’s Fake Death is Trending — So, We Got Answers
There are always ongoing rumors about celebrities that we tend to brush off, but some go way too far. Such is the recent rumor regarding Rauw Alejandro’s alleged death that started to circulate since the month began.
Case in point: If you search the music artist’s name on Google, the third “People also ask” suggestion is currently “Is Rauw Alejandro dead?” If you see his Wikipedia, his death shown is Aug. 1, 2022. On top of that, if you write his name on TikTok’s search bar, the first two suggestions read “death rumor” and “muerto.” Rumors or “jokes” involving death in 2022? That’s sick, to say the least.
Now, Rauw isn’t currently on social media to lay the rumors to rest – but we reached out to his camp to clarify the morbid situation. He’s not dead. Rauw’s camp confirmed that he’s currently focusing on recording new music. Twitter users were also quick to speculate that Rauw was doing this as a publicity stunt, which the camp denied. This death rumor is not part of a marketing plot.
As you may know, the last Instagram post he made was on July 31 with the caption: “Take care. I love you very much, thanks for the love always, see you in a while.” The video shows him getting into a car and discussing with his colleagues his future plans about hanging out and then going to the studio. The video then shows him taking off what appears to be his skin, uncovering his alien form, and going into space.
It’s not unusual for artists to scrap social media to start a new musical era. In the past, we’ve written about a now-deleted tweet he wrote teasing his next album’s release. With Rauw Alejandro’s now non-existent Twitter and almost clean Instagram, maybe he’s doing the same.
But death rumors to promote a new music release? Let’s put that idea to rest as it seems Rauw Alejandro has no intentions of taking it that far, according to his official reps.
