WATCH: Ricky Martin Steamy Music Video for New Single ‘Otra Noche en L.A.’

Ricky Martin, the legend himself, is making his return to Latine pop! Fresh off of the success of “Que Rico Fuera,” his collaboration with Chilean-American songstress Paloma Mami, he returns with the excitingly minimalistic “Otra Noche en L.A.”

“Otra Noche en LA” is sure to be your next favorite soft-pop song. Starting off with a delicate string arrangement, the song carries a carefully upbeat and understated melody, with Martin singing of an ex-lover and the adventures they had in Los Angeles. The track was written by Martin, along with Keityn, Lexuz, Casta, and O’Neill, and produced by duo Lexuz and Casta.

Martin seems to share the same affinity for the abundance of nostalgia. In a recent interview, he described the song as: “awakening emotions and was born out of those memories that keep us alive, motivate, or accelerate us. I’ve always looked for sensations and this song is magic, I hope you identify with it and enjoy it.”

The video for “Otra Noche en L.A.” was, appropriately, filmed in its title city of Los Angeles. Remember that thirst trap from his Instagram? Well, we finally get to see the full scene… and it’s steamy! Under the eye of the Costa Rican director and photographer Daniela Vesco (most known for her photography of Beyonce, including her goddess-inspired pregnancy announcement), Martin invites us into a sensual landscape of things remembered and forgotten. The music video perfectly captures the kind and nostalgic quality that the track has: through its usage of natural light, Vesco and Martin create an almost snowglobe-like effect.

“Que Rico Fuera” and “Otra Noche en L.A.” are both off of Martin’s highly anticipated EP, Play, which is expected to release in 2022.

Moreover, Martin will soon be seen at the famed Houston Rodeo at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, where he is set to perform on March 4. He will then play a series of shows around Mexico on March 8th.
