Karol G previewed an upcoming new song during her 2023 Billboard Music Awards performance. Last night (Nov. 19), the Colombian superstar delivered a standout performance and won a few awards.

Karol G was tied with Selena Gomez as the Latinas with the most nominations this year, with five each. Karol G won in two categories: Top Latin Female Artist and Top Latin Touring Artist. The latter award was based on the sales from her sell-out Mañana Será Bonito stadium tour in the U.S.

Karol G also put on one of the most amazing performances of the night. She performed a medley of her recent hits, including “QLONA” sans Peso Pluma and Angel Dior-produced “Ojos Ferrari.” Karol G and a team of dancers executed sensual choreography while inside a pool of water. She was dripping with water when she also performed a piece of “Labios Mordidos” for the first time. That song is her upcoming collaboration with Colombian-American singer Kali Uchis.

When the full performance became available on Karol G’s YouTube channel, she posted a funny message in her Instagram stories. “Watch the complete performance here so that you can also perform it in the shower,” she wrote in Spanish.

Kali Uchis then revealed the release date for “Labios Mordidos.” In her Instagram stories, she posted a video of herself walking alongside Karol G with an explosion behind them. She added that the song will be released on Thursday, Nov. 23.

Karol G’s incredible performance at the BMAs follows her big wins at last week’s Latin Grammy Awards. She took home three awards, including Album of the Year for Mañana Será Bonito. Karol G also made history as the first Latina to win in the Best Urban Music Album category. She shared the win for Best Urban Fusion/Performance with Shakira thanks to their global hit “TQG.”
