WATCH: Eslabon Armado & Gabito Ballesteros Team Up for “La Fresa”

Eslabon Armado is back with new music! Following their latest history-making album Desvelado, the Mexican-American group is back with “La Fresa” alongside Gabito Ballestores.

“Gabito and I have been reaching out to each other to do a collaboration for some time but we never had the time to do it, until now, and the song and video came out sick,” the group’s vocalist Pedro Tovar told Remezcla. “ It was a really cool experience.”

In “La Fresa,” Tovar continues the theme of Eslabon Armado’s hit collaboration with Peso Pluma “Ella Baila Sola,” narrating a story about a woman who doesn’t need validation from any man. The track features traditional elements of música mexicana like classic bajoloche on bass and is driven by a melodious trombone.

The video, produced by Del Studios, starts with a woman looking at herself in the mirror, writing “La Fresa” with her red lipstick on a bathroom mirror. In the background, Eslabon’s previous massive hit “Ella Baila Sola” is playing outside. The next shot shows the two Mexican artists enjoying their time at a club, describing an alluring woman as she dances with her friends, indulging in a girl’s night out.

Eslabon Armado’s been thriving all year long. Last month, they became the first regional Mexican band to perform on Good Morning America as part of the popular television show’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. The band was also nominated for the first time ever for the Latin Grammy Awards which are taking place on Nov. 16. They are up for two awards: Best Regional Mexican Song and Song of the Year for “Ella Baila Sola.”
