This Artist Broke Bad Bunny’s 3-Year Streak as Spotify’s Most-Streamed Artist

Bad Bunny is no longer Spotify’s Most-Streamed Artist Globally. On Nov. 29, Spotify unveiled its annual Wrapped data, which revealed that the Puerto Rican icon was dethroned after three consecutive years of being the most-streamed artist.

The new data notes that Taylor Swift is now the Most-Streamed Artists Globally. However, Spotify’s Most-Streamed Artist Globally’s top five artists include two Latine artists. After three consecutive years (2020-2022) as No. 1, Bad Bunny is now No. 2 on the list. The highly-anticipated list continues with The Weeknd at No. 3, Drake at No. 4, and Peso Pluma rising to No. 5. Other Latine artists on the global top 10 include Feid (No. 6) and Karol G (No. 9).

Per the results, Bad Bunny continues to hold his No. 1 spot as the Most Streamed Latin Artist Globally. The list’s runner-up is Peso Pluma, coming in second place, and Feid in third. Karol G is No. 4 and Junior H at No. 5.

Moreover, Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s hit collaboration “Ella Baila Sola” single-handedly represented our Latine community in the Most-Streamed Songs Globally top five list at No. 5. It’s worth mentioning that “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” by Bizarrap and Shakira came at No. 9. “Ella Baila Sola” also reached No. 4 on the U.S. Most-Streamed Songs list, with Ice Spice and PinkPantheress’ “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” at No. 5.

Additionally, the U.S. Most-Streamed Artists this year includes Bad Bunny at No. 5 and Peso Pluma at No. 10. The same Latine artists are featured in the top 10 U.S. Most-Streamed Albums chart: Bad Bunny at No. 7 with Un Verano Sin Ti and Peso Pluma at No. 9 with GÉNESIS.

The Most-Streamed Albums Globally top 10 list also includes three Latine artists. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti holds the No. 1 spot, Karol G’s MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO reached No. 5, and Peso Pluma’s GÉNESIS is at No. 9.
