These 3 Latine Songs Were TikTok’s Most Popular Globally in 2023

Latine artists are part of TikTok’s most popular tracks this year. On Dec. 6, the social media platform revealed its official 2023 Year in Music on TikTok data, which included various artists from our communities across its national and global songs lists.

This year, the Latine presence was strong on TikTok’s Global List, with three songs making the cut. Yng Lvcas and Peso Pluma’s hit collaboration “La Bebe (Remix)” landed at No. 6, “LALA” by Myke Towers reached No. 7, and the third was none other than Shakira and Karol G’s epic duet “TQG” at No. 9.

Other non-Latine selections featured in the international top 10 list include FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid – Twin Ver – Sped Up Version” on No. 1, Mae Stephens’ “If We Ever Broke Up” on No. 2, and Justine Skye’s “Collide (more sped up)” on No. 3. It also notes Doechii’s “What It Is – Solo Version on No. 4, and FLI:P’s “มองนานๆ” on No. 5. thuy’s “girls like me don’t cry (sped up)” also made the chart at No. 8, and Jain’s “Makeba” at No. 10.

Moreover, Ice Spice was also popular on TikTok this year. Her collaboration “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” with PinkPanthress ranked No. 5 on the most popular track in the U.S. Her infectious song “In Ha Mood” also charted at No. 8 on the top 10 songs in the U.S. this year. “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” also reached No. 7 in the U.K. top TikTok songs.

Other Latines featured on TikTok’s end-of-year lists include Selena Gomez (No. 1), Ice Spice (No. 3), and Cardi B (No. 7) as part of their top 10 highlighted hitmakers in the U.S. The hitmakers’ global list also features the Mexican internet personality and singer Kimberly Loaiza at No. 1, followed by Selena Gomez at No. 2, and Feid at No. 5. Karol G was also listed at No. 7 and Shakira at No. 10. 

Moreover, another artist highlight is Young Miko, who was named as one of TikTok’s breakthrough stars this year in the U.S. (No. 2).
