The Latest Peso Pluma Collab? Could Be A$AP Rocky

Is there a Peso Pluma collaboration on the way with A$AP Rocky? Today (July 18), images surfaced of the Mexican superstar in the studio with the hip-hop star, leading fans to believe they’re working on music together.

Peso Pluma has helped corridos and regional Mexican music go global. Last month, he made history with the highest charting música Mexicana on the Billboard 200 chart. His third LP, Génesis, debuted at No. 3 on the chart, beating the record that was previously set by Eslabon Armado. Now, it appears that artists outside the genre want to work with Peso Pluma next.

The latest artist caught in the Peso collab rumor mill? A$AP Rocky, thanks to images uploaded by Producer Julia Lewis of both artists. The “Ella Baila Sola” singer appears to be laying down a track in the studio with Rihanna’s partner. Both artists also posed for a photo standing next to each other.

Peso Pluma’s fans are excited about the prospect of him working with A$AP Rocky. “This Peso Pluma and ASAP Rocky combination has me crying,” one person in Spanish on Twitter. “Peso Pluma with ASAP Rocky my worlds are collapsing,” wrote another person.

Time will tell if we get a Peso Pluma with A$AP Rocky soon. Peso Pluma has stayed busy on the collaboration front. He recently dropped a reggaeton song called “Quema” with Colombian singer Ryan Castro. On the deluxe edition of his Génesis, he added the song “Tulum” featuring norteño band Grupo Frontera. Next month, Mexican rapper Gera MX will release the track “Feria En El Sobre” featuring Peso Pluma and Herencia de Patrones.

Peso Pluma is currently performing sold-out concerts across the U.S. with his Doble P Tour. He is tied with Bad Bunny and Becky G as the most-nominated artists of the year at Premios Juventud, with nine each. The award show will air live from Puerto Rico on Univision on Thursday, July 20.
