A little over a year ago, when House Beautiful published their Guide to Being A GrandMillennial, no one could have anticipated that the set of 20- and 30-somethings whom they identified as unironically embracing all varieties of granny design trends would soon be trapped in their homes, working remotely. Zooming away on their chintz-covered English roll arm and sipping their coffee from their favorite Burleigh floral mug instead of at the office in their Herman Miller desk chair with a latte from Pret-a-Manger, it allowed their love of all things toile and embroidered to flourish. I should know—I am a proud GrandMillennial (GM going forward in this article!), 35 goin on 85, and have relished spending time among the comforts of my granny decor. So this holiday season, celebrate your favorite friend, co-worker, or cousin whose vibe is definitively more aligned with Parish-Hadley than Axel Vervoodt.
