Skrillex’s secret weapon; Quix releases ‘Trust’
If you’ve seen Skrillex this summer you’ve likely heard him drop this monster of a track Quix’s “Trust.” This aggressively crafted bass track has been turning heads and setting crowds ablaze throughout festival season much to Quix’s surprise and fans delight. And now it’s available to stream via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak.
Originally crafted in 2020 for a charity compilation, QUIX never anticipated it echoing under festival lights, let alone in sets from one of the scene’s most influential artists and tastemakers. “Trust” and its VIP edit, begins with haunting vocals and an alarming build that crescendoes into a drop saturated with intense bass and razor-sharp synths. Given its take no prisoners approach and crowd-shaking style, it’s clear why it’s resonated so well in Skrillex’s main stage sets. The popularity of “Trust” continues to shine on Quix’s rising star presence that includes the release “Drop ‘Em” with SOFI on Dim Mak and a remix of French Montana and DJ Snake’s “Creep On Me” — another festival season staple.
