Alesso breaks five-year remix hiatus with two remixes of Jungkook, S3BZS

It’d been five long years since the last time Alesso remixed a track that wasn’t his own. He’s had a long stream of self-remixes and VIPs, like his “Sad Song” remix, his “Words” VIP mix, and plenty more in between. But the clock would have to be wound back to 2018 to find Alesso’s last true remix, with both him and Deniz Koyu taking on “Vai Malandra.” And you’d have to go back a year earlier to his last unaccompanied solo remix, with his take on J Balvin and Willy WIlliam’s “Mi Gente.” But now, Alesso has officially broken that more than half-decade intermission, delivering not one but two remixes for Jungkook of BTS’ “Seven” and S3BZS’ “MONTAGEM PR FUNK.”

Alesso’s “Seven” reimagining isn’t his first intertwining with a K-Pop artist, with him having teamed up with Stray Kids back in 2021,. And his take on S3BZS seems him fittingly reunite with a Brazilian artist five years after his last remix. And both spin add to Alesso’s 2023 scorecard, following “Call Your Name” with John Newman and hopefully inching us closer towards the release of “Inside Our Hearts” with Martin Garrix and Shaun Farrugia. Stream both remixes below.
