salute Teases New Album, Shares Club Heater “system” with Empress Of
It’s hard to believe that this is the first time electronic artist, salute, has been featured on TSIS. His constantly evolving and upward-progressing project has continued to grab our attention, but his newest tune, “system,” left us with no choice but to write about it.
salute holds nothing back on the drop of “system,” flexing addictive synth samples and a club-forward beat. Saturated and phased-out, the track gives off an old-school, UK-club vibe, but also features intimate, vocal-led interludes. Empress Of joins in on the fun with a tasteful vocal hook that matches salute’s existing energy perfectly. The track marks the beginning of a new album cycle for the rising artist – we can’t wait to hear what he shares next.
salute shared some insight into the writing process, commenting:
I think ‘system’ best describes where my head is at in terms of the sound I’m trying to get across. I’ve been obsessively re-diving into old French records and they’ve had a massive influence on how I produce my music – this one was particularly fun to make. I’m so in love with my pal Empress Of’s vocals on this tune, I’ve wanted to work with her for a number of years now and I’m so pleased we could make this work. As with most of the tunes I’ll be releasing this year, ‘system’ is a collaborative effort: had help from Karma Kid, Andy Smith and Baz Kaye (Bondax) on this one. They came through with the ingredients to tie ‘system’ together beautifully.
