Rinzen Announces Debut Album, Shares Euphoric Collaboration with Shallou “Burnin’”
Rinzen has had quite the journey to get where he is today. From releases on labels including mau5trap, Bedrock, and Desert Hearts, the dynamic producer finally lands on This Never Happened for one of the most significant moments in his career – his debut album. While we still have to wait until April 5th to listen to Bend to the Light, Rinzen shares a very special single from the album today, in collaboration with Shallou.
“Burnin’” immediately caught our attention with its powerful, expansive synth tones. A minimalistic beat provides the foundation for the chord progression to shine, as the duo decides not to overcomplicate the track with too many elements. Rather, when Shallou’s vocal enters, the listener is able to give their undivided attention to the emotion in his words.
Rinzen commented on his upcoming album, sharing:
In lockdown, freed from writing club tracks, I fell in love with making art that wasn’t tied to functionality. I took all my best tracks from just showing up at the studio for 2.5 years for this album.
