A Latine pop icon will make history at LA Pride in the Park 2024. Today (April 26), Ricky Martin revealed that he will perform at the massive LGBTQ+ Pride festival in Los Angeles, CA.

LA Pride in the Park is a part of the LA Pride festivities that take place in June. LGBTQ+ Pride will take over the LA State Historic Park, which has a capacity for over 25,000 people. This year’s theme for LA Pride is “Power in Pride,” which will “celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s ability to live authentically through strength and resilience.” The event organizers are driving that point home with Ricky Martin as the headliner of LA Pride in the Park this year. The Puerto Rican star will make history as the first openly gay Latine artist to headline the event.

“I am thrilled to be headlining LA Pride in the Park because it’s an incredible opportunity to celebrate love, diversity, and equality,” Ricky shared in a statement. “LA Pride is a testament to the power of community, the power of visibility, and the power of standing up for our rights. Being part of this vibrant community fills me with pride and purpose.”

Ricky Martin’s headlining performance at LA Pride in the Park will take place on June 8. Tickets are now available for purchase on the event’s official website. More performers for LA Pride in the Park will be announced soon.
