Pabllo Vittar & Arca Confirmed by Lady Gaga as Collaborators on ‘Dawn of Chromatica’ Remix Album
Brazilian singer/songwriter Pabllo Vittar, Venezuelan musician and DJ Arca, and Berlin-based DJ and producer LSDXOXO were officially confirmed by Lady Gaga on Twitter today as being a part of the Dawn of Chromatica remix album.
Dawn of Chromatica is a reimagining of Gaga’s 2020 dance-pop album Chromatica, which was named by Billboard as the fifth best album of last year. The song “Rain on Me” earned Gaga and Ariana Grande a Grammy win for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. She also collaborated with South Korean female ensemble Blackpink and legendary singer/songwriter Elton John on a pair of songs.
This time with Dawn of Chromatica, Gaga’s list of collaborators has expanded to include Vittar, Arca, and LSDXOXO as well as other musicians like Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, Bree Runway, and Coucou Chloe.
Track three on the new album will be the Grammy-winning song “Rain on Me,” performed as a remix by Arca. Track five features the song “Fun Tonight,” performed as a remix by Vittar.
Originally from São Luís, Vittar broke into the music scene in 2015 when her Portuguese-language version of Major Lazer’s song “Lean On” hit one million views on YouTube in the span of only four months. Since then, she’s released four studio albums, 2017’s Vai Passar Mal, 2018’s Não Para Não, 2020’s 111, and this summer’s Batidão Tropical.
Arca got her start in 2012 when she debuted her first EP, Baron Libre. The following year, she received writing credits on five of the songs on Kanye West’s album Yeezus. Since then, Arca has released four studio albums: 2014’s Xen, 2015’s Mutant, 2017’s self-titled Arca, and 2020’s Kick I.
Dawn of Chromatica remix album set to release September 3.
