Meet Flores, the Resilient R&B Vocalist Society Needs To Listen To

The international Brazilian drag queen, activist, and singer-songwriter Pabllo Vittar has collaborated with the British-Japanese pop artist Rina Sawayama on an infectious, upbeat pop song, “Follow Me,” released today (March 31). What a way to start off the weekend!

“I’m so excited to release this song with Rina – she is such an icon and I’m so pleased we managed to make this song work as it’s the perfect combination of our music styles,” Vittar says about the track on the press release. “I really hope the fans love it as much as we do. Shooting the video was so much fun as well, wearing iconic outfits, and strutting our stuff on the runway! SERVE!”

Produced by Lostboy and Brabo, the catchy track combined with the colorful music video instantly inspires you to do a strut down the catwalk. The animated music video directed by Amber Park goes back and forth from a runway showcasing eccentric looks from each artist to a ‘90s retro type of recording, all while the track’s beat changes drastically. The outfit and makeup choices against the demanding dance-pop sounds will keep you pressing replay – yeah, we can’t get enough of the entrancing video.

“I have been such an admirer of Pabllo for so long – she is nothing short of an icon and so for us to collaborate on an original I wanted a moment that felt fitting,” Sawayama said about the collaboration in the press statement. “When she sent me the idea for Follow Me I was just in love with it immediately and the process from then has been a dream.”

It’s the perfect song to get you hyped — especially with the surprising element that takes the beat from zero to one hundred. Aside from this, Vittar is busy performing on her global tour that will include a stop at this year’s Coachella weekends and promoting her HBOMax Brazil’s series Queen Stars. Needless to say, we are excited about anything that this multifaceted artist participates in!
