LISTEN: Rosalía Releases New Bilingual Track “LLYLM”

La Rosalía is back with new music! Following her latest “DESPECHA” remix with Cardi B, she dropped her newest single, “LLYLM,” a Spanish and English track that’s short for “Lie Like You Love Me.”

“LLYLM estará OUT 0:00,” the Spanish singer-songwriter posted on Instagram

This bilingual track serves flamenco, pop, and R&B influences produced by Rosalía, Noah Goldstein, David Rodriguez, and Dylan Patrice. Upon first listen, the lyrics: “I don’t need honesty / Baby, lie like you love me, lie like you love me / Covеr me in a dream, I’ll be yours or fantasy / Who needs thе honesty?” sounds like Rosalía is exploring the classic heart-wrenching themes of lust and unrequited love.

But as you continue listening to the jam, verses like: “And today is carnival / I’m from here, and you’re from there” and “Oh, give me that, that bracelet of flowers / I’ll put it on my wrist / And when I wake up, so I’ll know / So I’ll know, so I’ll know it was real / It’ll be my totem, you know it and nobody else,” it possibly hints at a secret one-night stand ready to happen.

Regardless of the song’s message, fans are thrilled about the new banger. A YouTube user, @cynthiamontalvan4490, wrote: “Always unpredictable. She mixes pop, electronica, and flamenco, singing in a song that could be three. The radical nuances of her voice make the song very special.” Another YouTube user, josephstivenilemartinez2065, wrote: “For me, this song reminds me a lot of [the] El Mal Querer era but has pop in English, a wonderful [and] a perfect mix to internationalize a song with flamenco touches. This song is beautiful, my new favorite.”

Rosalía keeps busy. Last week, she performed at the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2023 Collection in Paris, France, where she brought global sounds to the popular fashion show. What’s next? The “MOTOMAMI” singer is set to perform at Coachella this year on April 15 and 22.
