Kasbo Previews First Album In Four Years With Pair of Singles “Atlantic” & “Drift”
Swedish DJ/Producer Kasbo captured our hearts nearly a decade ago with his iconic track “World Away” and he has continued to have a piece of it since then. Last year, Kasbo returned after a three year hiatus from releasing music since his album, The Making of a Paracosm. During his time away, Kasbo focused on his health after developing rare, stress-related hearing loss caused by the pressure to achieve more with his music, particularly during the pandemic which elevated these types of stressors. But what came as a result of all of that was the concept surrounding his upcoming album, The Learning of Urgency.
Kasbo has released what is to be a preview of his upcoming album in “Atlantis” with Shallou and Swedish Singer BJOERN and “Drift”. The former being more pop-centric and euphoric with beautiful vocals provided from BJOERN, and the latter being the more existential and anthemic. Both tracks follow the trend of Kasbo’s last two singles being more upbeat and house-oriented in comparison to his early work.
The album is also set to have a theme of aquatic nature and the beauty of being underwater. The songwriting on the album follows the idea of slowing down and being still, much like being underwater. The Learning of Urgency is set to release on June 7th via Foreign Family Collective.
You can stream both singles below. Enjoy!
