Justin Jay Goes Bass Mode On New EP ‘Wait For The Drop’

Zed’s Dead’s Deadbeats label is known for churning out some of the best music out there, and they have hit once again. Justin Jay has come strong with his new EP Wait For The Drop, a collaborative effort alongside Bayer and Waits. Usually known for his house sound, Jay clearly feels the influence of residing in the bass capital of the world, Denver, and infuses that influence on this one.

Wait For The Drop starts out strong with a VIP edit of the project’s title track, a high octane wonk and wub thriller that is sure to rattle speakers everywhere. Jay cranks the energy up even further with “Mixed Signals,” which combines his bass chops with some serious UK garage sounds. Don’t forget about the original “Wait For The Drop” track, which is a bit of a throwback to the early-mid 2010’s trap golden era. There’s also a “Wait For The Dropremix to close out the EP from Y3llO.

Justin Jay is the definition of a young rising star in the scene. At just 22 years old, he is already flexing his production talents weaving between genres. Stream the EP below and enjoy!
