Hailey Bieber Walks Us Through Her Wardrobe for Vogue’s New Show 7 Days, 7 Looks
“I have my days where I like to be a bit more girly, a bit more grown up. And then I have my days where I like to be a bit more tomboy,” Hailey Bieber announces in a white bathrobe, socks and slippers before taking Vogue through a week in her wardrobe for the inaugural episode of Vogue’s newest video series, 7 Days 7 Looks. Though they run the gamut from sleek to casual, Bieber’s outfits consistently capture the spirit of fall 2020. Fittingly she kicks off Monday in gray sweatpants and closes out the week in an equally comfortable, yet dressed-up, matching satin set for Sunday dinner at home.
Bieber’s mastery of outerwear shines through her looks, and almost every outfit is punctuated with a statement-worthy coat or blazer. In a boon to both style experts and neophytes alike, Bieber has some tips on how to use jackets to take your wardrobe to the next level. While putting on a stunning red Saint Laurent wool number, Bieber explains that she sizes up on overcoats, “first of all to stay cozy,” but also to leave room for well-loved sweaters. Wednesday's “business chic” look pairs a knit bralette by Jacquemus with an oversized Magda Burtrym blazer with a cinched waist—an easy way to achieve a more flattering fit, explains Bieber. As for date night, a black Marina Moscone blazer layered over a strapless, black mini dress effortlessly elevates the look. “It actually hits a very similar length to the dress and I think it brings a cool little edge to the outfit.”
Her casual Saturday outfit, though, is the most pertinent of all. Wearing perfectly oversized jeans by Natasha Zinko, a cozy polo sweater by Mango, and white Nike Air Force 1s, Bieber tops off the look with a baseball hat emblazoned with I am a voter. “Hopefully you’re registered. Hopefully you’re going to get out there and vote. It’s so important. Please do it,” she says. With election day only a few days away, it’s the most important fashion statement there is.
