Gorillaz, The Strokes & Twenty One Pilots to Headline Mexico’s Corona Capital 2026
Promoter OCESA has officially announced the highly anticipated lineup for the 16th edition of the Corona Capital festival. The event, which has become a cornerstone of the international music circuit in Latin America, is scheduled to take place from November 20-22 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.
Headlining this year’s massive gathering are Gorillaz, The Strokes, and Twenty One Pilots. The festival promises a diverse musical experience, featuring over 70 acts including The xx, Lola Young, Mumford & Sons, The Offspring, Underworld, Daniel Caesar, James Blake, and Lil Yachty.
For Gorillaz, this performance marks a highly awaited debut at the festival as part of their international Mountain Tour. Meanwhile, New York-based rockers The Strokes are set to make their return to the Mexican capital after a four-year hiatus. The festival will also host the legendary band Manic Street Preachers for their first-ever performance in the country.
Memo Parra, creator of Corona Capital and director of international events at OCESA, emphasized the festival’s commitment to quality and fan experience. “In every edition, we strive to strike a balance between legendary artists, contemporary acts, and new talents that are shaping the future of music,” Parra told Billboard Español. “At the same time, we put a huge focus on fan experience: from production, infrastructure, and gastronomy to comfort, technology, and services within the festival.”
Parra noted that the modern audience is increasingly demanding, which pushes organizers to innovate constantly. “Latin America, and particularly Mexico, has become one of the most important markets for the global live entertainment industry,” he added. “Today, artists understand that there is a very powerful combination here: passionate audiences, a rich musical culture, world-class infrastructure, and a level of attendance comparable to the major entertainment capitals.”
Promoters anticipate an attendance of approximately 240,000 fans over the three-day event. A presale for Citibanamex cardholders is scheduled for May 26, with general ticket sales beginning the following day.
