Elvis Crespo, Los Ángeles Azules & More Added As Billboard Latin Music Awards Performers
A new round of performers for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards has been unveiled today (Sept. 6.) Ozuna, Elvis Crespo, Los Ángeles Azules, and Ángela Aguilar are among the stars hitting the stage later this month.
Two weeks ago, the first round of performers for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards was revealed. Artists from across several Latine genres were announced, including Grupo Firme, Eslabón Armado, Maluma, CNCO, and Camilo.
More artists are scheduled to join the party with the sound round of announcements. Puerto Rican superstar Ozuna was added to the list of performers, who’s nominated for Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Male. Farruko, up for 11 awards, will also be performing. Colombian pop group Piso 21 was also added to the mix and is up for Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Duo or Group.
Artists who will be bringing throwbacks to the stage include Elvis Crespo. He’s nominated for Tropical Artist of the Year, Solo. He recently made headlines when Bad Bunny took inspiration from him for the “Neverita” music video. Cumbia will be in the house with Los Ángeles Azules, who is up for Tropical Artist of the Year, Duo or Group. La Reina del Rock Alejandra Gúzman will also be hitting the stage. She recently announced her Las Vegas residency at the Venetian Theatre, starting in Nov.
For the regional Mexican music fans, Ángela Aguilar and Calibre 50 were also added to the list of performers. Calibre 50 is up for five awards, including Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Duo or Group.
The 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be broadcast live on Telemundo on Thursday, Sept. 29. The awards will also coincide with Billboard Latin Music Week, happening in Miami, FL, from Sept. 26 to Oct. 1.
