Drake Announces Bad Bunny Collaboration: “It’s Been 6 Years”
It’s official: Another Bad Bunny and Drake collaboration is on the way for Drake’s upcoming album. During Drake’s Los Angeles stop of his It’s All A Blur tour last night (August 13), he had Benito in attendance, and before starting the show, he took the opportunity to confirm their upcoming joint track alongside the Puerto Rican artist.
“I want to tell y’all something ’cause y’all are L.A., and we love you. It’s been like six years since me and Benito did a song. So, we got a song coming for y’all on my album,” he told the crowd.
Last month, rumors of an upcoming joint track began circulating after Drake reposted a photo from one of Bad Bunny’s carousels on his Instagram stories. That photo was a sign that reads “Beware of the dog,” and it’s known that the upcoming album is titled For All the Dogs.
Back then, fans began sharing their excitement for the collab. A Twitter user wrote: “bad bunny n drake on another song together is gonna heal me.” Another Twitter user commented: “Drake x Bad bunny we’re not ready.”
While some are still holding some skepticism. “Drake and Bad Bunny collab coming ahhhh let’s hope it’s better than Mia,” wrote one Twitter user.
There aren’t many details on Drake’s upcoming album, which doesn’t come as a surprise from the Canadian artist, who tends to drop his music with subtle to no clues. All that’s been revealed is that the record is set to come out soon. “I got an album coming in, like, I don’t know… A couple of weeks or some shit,” Drake said during one of his tour stops.
