Singer-songwriter Rita Ora will join Ryan Seacrest live from Times Square as co-host of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2024. Television personality Jeannie Mai is set to co-host from Los Angeles, while actress and singer Dayanara Torres is set as co-host from Puerto Rico with the Spanish language countdown. There will be no central time zone countdown in this year’s edition.
The New Year’s bash in Puerto Rico is set to take place at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
Torres, who was crowned Miss Universe in 1993 has gone on to a successful career as a model, singer, actress, and writer. She was briefly married to singer Marc Anthony in the early 2000s, with whom she shares two kids.
A few years ago, Torres, who was diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, announced to her followers that she was officially cancer free. Since then, Torres has partnered with the Melanoma Research Foundation as a spokesperson and model for the #GetNaked melanoma awareness campaign.
Though the lineup for the show hasn’t yet been announced, the event, which marks its 52nd year in 2023, is set to celebrate the year’s best with over five hours of performances, as well as a look at New Year’s celebrations from around the globe.
Last year’s countdown attracted 13.8 million viewers.
