Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Tokischa, & More To Perform at Baja Beach Fest 2022
The official lineup for this year’s Baja Beach Fest dropped this afternoon, and it’s packed with some of the biggest artists in Latine music. Taking place just 20 miles south of the U.S. border, music fans on both sides of the frontera will experience a wide range of genres at Rosarito Beach this coming August. Some names on the highly anticipated lineup include everyone from industry titans like Daddy Yankee to artists on the come up like Tokischa and Natanael Cano.
Scheduled to take place over two weekends between Aug. 12-2, the 2022 festival has come a long way since its first edition back in 2018. Originally a two-day event, Baja Beach Fest has now expanded into a three-day concert series and was labeled the “#1 Emerging Festival in North America” by USA Today in 2019. But one detail that hasn’t changed over the course of the festival’s history is its commitment to getting the hottest names in Latine music on its beachfront stage. Some previous headliners include Cardi B, Ozuna, Karol G, J Balvin, and Bad Bunny, to name a few.
Based on today’s lineup release, 2022’s edition should be no different with Friday including performances by Anuel AA, Farruko, Myke Towers, Jay Wheeler, Tokischa, DJ Luian, Nataneal Cano, and more. Saturday’s schedule is headlined by Wisin y Yandel and Banda MS, followed by performances from Jhay Cortez, Sech, Nicki Nicole, and Arcangel. The three-day festival will close with Sunday’s performances from Daddy Yankee and Maluma, as well as appearances by Natti Natasha and El Alfa.
As previously mentioned, the Mexican festival will also feature a mixture of rising stars and fresh names in the Latine scene that range from R&B to electronic music. These artists include 19-year-old Puerto Rican pop artist Joonti, Barcelona-based R&B singer Aleesha, Puerto Rican rapper Omy de Oro, and Argentinian pop sensation Emilia. For concertgoers looking to dance on the beach to electronic beats, Baja Beach Fest’s 2022 DJ lineup will also feature names like DJ Dynamiq, DJ Exile, and DJ Freddy Fresco, to name a few.
Although the festival’s 2021 edition experienced delays to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there are currently no plans to potentially reschedule dates this summer. Passes for Baja Beach Fest went live today and are now officially available for purchase. Shuttle bus packages, VIP access, and payment plans are also available on the festival’s site, but tickets are expected to go fast.
