Charlotte Gainsbourg Does Jeans the French Way

This morning, designer Anthony Vaccarello revealed his latest womenswear collection for Saint Laurent. Fall 2021 offers a glitzy assortment of fur-trimmed jackets, crystal-embellished dresses, and metallic mini skirts. Sitting in the presentation’s virtual front row was also a number of big-name stars, including Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, and Rosé. But there was one particular celebrity in attendance who nailed the sleek, effortless vibe that the label showed on the runway, that would be actor Charlotte Gainsbourg. The ultimate beacon of French style showed up to the front row in jeans. 

Gainsbourg is known for her wardrobe of perfect tees and leather jackets, so it’s no surprise she brought her fashion A-game for a fashion show—even if it’s virtual. The star dressed up her Saint Laurent light-wash jeans with a boxy cream blazer and sequined top. Plus, her pointy-toe stilettos—which she wore on a dirt road for the photos!—and sunflower-pendant belt further elevated the look. The whole ensemble precisely encapsulates what makes French style so good. It seems thrown-together, not too dressy, yet somehow totally cool. When Emily In Paris returns to Netflix in the near future, this is exactly the kind of stealthy, luxurious look that Emily should be wearing. C’est magnifique!
