Carlos Vives Joins “Encanto” Live Performance in Los Angeles

The magic of Encanto is far from being over. On Oct. 28, Carlos Vives was announced as a special guest star for this year’s “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl” spectacle, which will take place on Nov. 11 and 12 in Los Angeles, CA.

“It’s going to be a night of celebration!” the Colombian superstar wrote under Disney Music’s official Instagram announcement.

The “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl” performance is set to feature all of the original actors who helped make the film a reality. It will feature an orchestra of 80 people, 50 dancers, and an overall stellar production. Other confirmed artists that will also participate include the Colombian singer-songwriter Andrés Cepeda.

For those who can’t make the big night, the special will be recorded and available on Disney+ starting on Dec. 28. Naturally, social media users across the platforms are excited about the news. An Instagram user yvo_d_q wrote: “Wow how cool. Full video of that please! It will be super awesome!!!”

Other social media users are asking for a performance by Sebastián Yatra, who was also part of Encanto’s popular soundtrack. An Instagram user laurisjimenez wrote: “This is amazing!!! The Coco concert at the Hollywood Bowl was spectacular! Would love to also see Sebastian Yatra. Hopefully, we can watch it on Disney+! @disneyplus @disneyconcerts.”

Besides the upcoming Encanto’s immersive live-to-film concert experience, Vives will also star in Disney+ Original series, “El Club De Los Graves.” The show tells a story about a music teacher, played by Vives, who teaches students about music. This series will showcase new original songs by Vives, as well as Colombia’s rich music and cultural values. It premieres globally on Disney+ on Nov. 30.

Encanto has won many prestigious accolades, including an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Animated. The official soundtrack also broke many records.
