Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ Is Already Breaking Many Records
It seems everyone had been itching for a new Bad Bunny album with the way it’s being streamed. Benito’s latest project, Un Verano Sin Ti, has taken the streaming services by storm and has already broken multiple records. The newly released project broke the record for most single-day streams, took over Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global Chart, and has officially made him the most streamed artist on the platform.
In 24 hours, the album received over 183 million streams — beating out Drake, who previously held the record with 176.8 million with Certified Lover Boy. With this new record, Bad Bunny’s album also claims the title of the most-streamed album of 2022 so far. It’s also scaling the charts, with all 23 songs taking a position on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart and nine of them in the top 10.
On Apple Music, tracks from his latest album occupy six spots in the top 10 on their Global 100 chart, and Un Verano Sin Ti sits at No. 1 on their top albums chart. Will it debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts? That we’ll know in a few days, but expectations are high.
Benito continues to collect accolades, he’s become the most-streamed artist of all time globally, in addition to already being the artist with the most streams in 2020 and 2021.
The follow-up to his already massive El Último Tour Del Mundo, which broke many records of its own and spawned two tours, has become a juggernaut in its own right. Since its release, the album has also drawn praise from critics with Consequence of Sound calling it “Summer’s Swaggering, Flavorful Soundtrack” and Remezcla’s own Jeanette Hernandez wrote that “El Conejo Malo continues to share his stardom without settling with what is expected of him.” Doing what he wants has been working in his favor because Benito just continues to grow his stardom and has the accolades, records, and awards to prove it.
