Bad Bunny To Headline Made in America Festival 2022

It’s festival season, y’all! And despite having his own stadium tour later this year, Bad Bunny will be headlining one of the most popular annual festivals in the U.S. – we’re talking about Jay-Z’s Made in America Festival 2022. The Philadelphia-based event will be held this year on Sept. 3 and 4 at Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The Jay-Z curated festival has been around for a decade now, known to stack both established artists and emerging artists that shouldn’t be slept on. While the lineup normally showcases American hip-hop and rappers, it’s exciting to gradually see more and more Latine acts be part of their rich roster. This year, along with the Puerto Rican icon Bad Bunny, other Latine artists participating include Regional Mexican band Fuerza Regida, Dominican rapper Chimbala, and Colombian singer Ryan Castro. The Spanish rapper Rels B will also play at the festival. Other Latine acts that have previously performed in the event include the likes of Cardi B, Fat Joe, Cazzu, and Jessie Reyez, to name a few.

According to their press release, Made In America has generated over $150 million in economic growth for the “City of Brotherly Love” since 2012. Additionally, the festival will feature their Cause Village this year, highlighting the engaging and advocacy groups like Black Voters Matter, HeadCount, ACCT Philly Animal Welfare, and United in Community during the two-day festival. 

 

What an exciting year it’s been for the “Moscow Mule” singer, to say the least! What’s Bad Bunny not thriving in? Besides releasing his record-breaking Un Verano Sin Ti this year, he recently performed “Andrea” for the first time ever with Buscabulla in Puerto Rico. Before that, El Conejo Malo announced his new restaurant business in Miami called Gekkō alongside David Grutman. And we can’t forget that he’s making his big-screen debut this summer with Brad Pitt on Bullet Train.
