‘Ahsoka’ Finally Gets Premiere Date on Disney+ — & Teases Epic Fight

“Perhaps it is time to begin again,” the new TV spot for Ahsoka suggests, and that is the exact vibes Disney+, in general, is giving with the announcement of the premiere date for the new series. Though the streamer had previously announced Star Wars: Ahsoka would premiere during the month of August, we now know it will do so on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

The streamer also released three new images from the series that include Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, and the mysterious inquisitor.

Disney+ also released a TV spot for Ahsoka. In it, we got to see Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati. Notably, we also get to see Sabine and Shin Hati fighting with lightsabers in what is going to be an intense and epic fight scene.

Star Wars: Ahsoka is set after the fall of the Empire and it follows former Anakin Skywalker apprentice and Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates a threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The character was first introduced during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and went on to star in the animated series of the same name. She later appeared in the second season of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett

The show is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is the co-executive producer. It also stars Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appears as Ezra Bridger.
