ICYMI, this week’s very virtual AW21 fashion season was in full swing – with Raf Simons making his menswear debut at Prada, and Fendi presenting its latest collection, which this time around was plastered with scribbles by The Great British Bake Off’s Noel Fielding.
Elsewhere, Jean Paul Gaultier launched a telesales-inspired couture sale – selling pieces from Rick Owens, Dior, Chanel, and more – to raise money for non-profit AIDs awareness charity Sidaction, and Telfar’s ‘Bushwick Birkin’ scored a place at the Design Museum’s top fashion design of 2020. We can’t say we expected anything less from the brand.
Otherwise, just before the US inauguration, US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris opted to wear a camel coat by Pyer Moss to DC’s COVID-19 memorial, making a statement by supporting the socially-conscious designer.
