Rosalía to Receive Billboard Hall of Fame Award at 2026 Latin Music Awards

Global superstar Rosalía will receive the prestigious Billboard Hall of Fame Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, it was announced Thursday. The singer, songwriter, and producer, who is also a finalist for six awards this year, will attend the ceremony on October 22 to accept the honor, which will be broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock.

The Billboard Hall of Fame Award is reserved for artists who have achieved worldwide recognition while transcending musical genres, languages, and borders. It recognizes a career that extends beyond mere performance, celebrating an artist’s extraordinary global influence across multiple creative fields.

Rosalía has long been recognized as one of the most distinctive voices in modern music. Her career is defined by a bold fusion of traditional rhythms and contemporary sounds, paired with a singular artistic vision. Her 2018 album El Mal Querer famously reinvented flamenco for a new generation, while her 2022 project Motomami—which she wrote, performed, and produced herself—solidified her status as a global powerhouse, debuting in the top 40 of the all-genre Billboard 200.

Her most recent LP, LUX (2025), continues this trajectory of innovation. Featuring songs in 13 different languages, the album earned the artist her first top 10 entry on the Billboard 200 and debuted at No. 1 on five separate Billboard charts, including Top Latin Albums and World Albums. The success of the project was further cemented by her 57-date sold-out LUX Tour.

The 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be broadcast live from the James L. Knight Center in Miami. The event will also feature performances from a star-studded lineup, including Peso Pluma, Tito Double P, and Karol G, among others. The ceremony coincides with Billboard Latin Music Week, which runs from October 19-22 and features industry leaders and artists such as Maluma and Pitbull.
