Karol G Embraces Intimacy on New Album ‘No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto’
Karol G’s sixth studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, arrived on Friday (Aug. 7), marking a significant shift in the artist’s musical trajectory. Moving away from the vibrant, tropical-leaning soundscapes of her 2025 hit album Tropicoqueta, this new 14-track collection offers a raw, intimate, and stripped-down look at the woman behind the global superstar, Carolina Giraldo Navarro.
The album’s tracklist, which was revealed earlier in the week, features a star-studded lineup of collaborators. Fans were surprised by the inclusion of Drake on the track “Ahí,” Bruno Mars on “Still,” and rising talents Judeline and Rusowsky on “Bby Wow.” The project also serves as a home for previously released singles, including the collaboration with Cigarettes After Sex guitarist Greg Gonzalez, “Después de Ti,” and the provocative “Matadora,” which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart on the tally dated Aug. 8, 2026.
Reflecting on the creative process, the artist shared that the album was born from a place of personal ritual. “In my room, I have a ritual: I put up little lights, I burn candles and incense. I want people to listen to this new album that’s coming, in their own rooms, and see what comes up for them,” she explained in an interview. “I’d rather suffer because I lived too much — because I loved too much, because I had too much fun — than to not have had those experiences, you know? I’m inviting everyone to be a little more dramatic, a little more extra.”
The “Bichota” singer first teased the project during her concert at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on July 29, telling the crowd she had been “locked in for months” preparing music that would form a new segment of her ongoing tour. Having premiered several tracks during her headlining set at Coachella and the kickoff of her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour in Chicago, the album represents a bold step toward vulnerability for one of the most influential voices in #LatinMusic today.
